God I really hope they change the designs. We don't even need a lore reason, they aren't officially in the game yet. Just fuckin give the characters some melanin. And even if it wasn't just the cultural disrespect isn't everyone tired of the same pale character design at this point. And also you're definitely right about the character design in general. Some of the outfits and characters look like bad genshin ocs they shoved into the game.
I'm not even talking about the skin color at this point. I've accepted that hyv is a chinese company and wont do shit unless the CN community riots.
CASE in point. Spin-to-win Neuvi nerf was mass reported by the CN community as consumer fraud and I bet they're gonna fix that immediately.
It's just... idk common sense??? It may be a fictional world but it does take inspirations from Latin America / African that has... idk hot climates!! Therefore darker skin!! And for some reason you drop this pasty ass vampire cowboy lady???? In NATLAN???? Like they wouldn't get this much of a backlash if most of these characters we as black as Iansan atleast.
My gripe now is just the designs itself. The first 3 characters don't look that bad, i can get behind that. They're cute and colorwise very complimentary. Even the pyro archon(?) even though she looks like she doesn't even belong in Natlan, red black and yellow goes well together.
The cowboy and leopard lady tho...
ESPECIALLY the vampire cowboy goth lady. She literally is just beta clorinde they lazily put in Natlan for a bigger roster. I just hate how messy and out of place she looks even by Natlan's messy standards.
Tumblr media
Feathery (?) strandy hat, very convoluted shirt (?), the long coat tails attacked to the short revealing shirt gimmick, pants that only has one leggings (????)
What is this? Genuinely. It's asymetry for the sake of asymetry. I hate it. Theres no purpose in this, this outfit highlights nothing. I see her and its just a blotch of black-purple-red with super contasting pasty pale skin. Worst of all she doesn't even look like she's from Natlan, she looks like a messy ruffed up travelling cowboy with none of those Natlan symbols or tattoos or patterns or anything. Just normal leather and straps.
It is ugly. It doesnt work. Its not nice to look at. I hope she doesnt play a role where she shows up on screen alot. Im sorry.
Same point for the leopard lady. Doesn't look Natlan at all. Just a leopard lady with revealing clothes. SHORT JEANS TOO MIGHT I ADD. Something you probably don't see in Natlan. She is less hated by me because atleast her color palette works.
Its facking Acheron again but I can excuse Archeron because ITS SPACE.

Wanna ask before assuming and writing things I don't know about!! Im American, But i need some info about Russia for a small thing im writing to get back into the grind of it (I've been living in writer's block hell, don't ask) I will credit you in the piece when i post it cause like...ofc! if their not my orginal ideas and I know it, I would not claim them as so!!
1 - where do you genuinely think Nikto was born in Russia, its such a huge country but it feels disrespectful to just look up a place a go "yeah thats good enough" like NO! I imagine he grew up somewhere economically poor and VERY cold, so if u know any places like that in the country or have ur own ideas lmk ^_^
2- what animals do you typically find in super cold areas in russian, specifically mountainy areas, cause google litteraly told me tigers and idk a lot of stuff but that feels WRONG JDHSJSHAH? But maybe its a certain type of tiger?
Tumblr media
Any suggestions would help, if multiple ppl comment helpful things I'll just tag multiple ppl for credit!! :) Tysm!!

Tens of thousands of Georgians have gathered in the streets of the capital, Tbilisi, in response to a call from the pro-Western president to press for the annulment of Saturday's election.
Earlier, President Salome Zourabichivili, who has sided with the opposition, called on Georgians to rally outside parliament, telling the BBC's Steve Rosenberg that this was a "crucial moment".
She appealed to the international community to stand behind her country's population after a disputed election that she says was "totally falsified".
The ruling Georgian Dream party and the election commission are adamant the result, giving the government almost 54% of the vote, was free and fair.
However, Zourabichvili urged Georgia's partners needed to see what was happening, adding that the government's victory was "not the will of the Georgian people" who wanted to keep their European future.
Zourabichvili made clear the protest would be "very peaceful", adding that she did not believe Georgia's authorities wanted confrontation.
It is not entirely clear what she and the four opposition groups hope to achieve by bringing Georgians on to the main avenue in front of the parliament on Monday.
"The main thing we want here is to get what we deserve - legal elections. No-one had any idea this would happen. At first we were frustrated, then we realised what happened and now we're angry," said Lasha, 22.
Liza, 20, said wanted "another election that isn’t forged".
"I’m really happy a lot of young people are here. Most of the speakers from the four opposition parties are saying don’t give up," she added.
Another protester, Keta, told the BBC that she felt "cheated and frustrated". "Me and my friends and my family deserve way better than we have right now... We will fight to the end until we get our justice."
The president said it was up to the people and the political parties to decide what happened next.
"My call was to have a demonstration but where does the Georgian population stand? It's what we're going to see tonight."
"Maybe we won't be able to achieve it today or tomorrow," she said.
"There are a number of things that can be done. There can be an international review of some of the elements of the election, there can be a call for new elections. In what period of time I don't know."
The European Union, Nato and the US have called for a full investigation into allegations by monitoring missions of vote fraud before and on the day of Saturday's vote.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said that Georgians had a "right to see that electoral irregularities are investigated swiftly, transparently and independently."
She added that "Georgians, like all Europeans, must be the masters of their own destiny."
The call for protest echoes weeks of demonstrations that brought Tbilisi's central Rustaveli Avenue to a standstill for weeks earlier this year.
There were clashes with riot police, who responded with water cannon, tear gas and force, as Georgians tried to stop the government pushing through a Russian-style "foreign agents" law targeting media and civil society groups that have foreign funding.
Ultimately the protests failed and the EU froze Georgia's bid to join the 27-country union, accusing it of democratic backsliding.
The government has clearly prepared for further protests. Last week it emerged that the interior minister had bought new water cannon vehicles and other equipment for riot police, including lethal weapons, for use "when it becomes necessary".
Georgian Dream Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has told the BBC that alleged violations ahead and during the vote were confined to "just a couple" of polling stations. He said that "the general content of the elections was in line with legal principles and the principle of democratic elections."
But President Zourabichvili said the scale of election fraud was unprecedented: "Everything was used that we've ever heard of in this country in a parallel way."
She alleged that, before the elections, families who were dependent on state funds had seen their identity cards taken away.
At the time it was difficult to tell why, she said, but it then became clear the identity cards were being used for so-called carousel voting in Georgia's new electronic voting system - "when one person can vote 10, 15, 17 times with the same ID".
Tumblr media
She has also described the result of the vote as a "Russian special operation", stopping short of accusing the Kremlin of direct intervention. Instead, she accused the government of using a "very sophisticated" Russian-inspired propaganda strategy.
The government has vehemently denied having anything to do with Russia, pointing out it is the only country in the region not to have diplomatic ties with Moscow.
Russia fought a five-day war with its southern neighbour in 2008 and still occupies 20% of Georgian territory.
The Kremlin has has denied having anything to with the election and ridiculed Georgia's pro-EU president, whose term in office comes to an end in December.
A handful of international leaders have congratulated Georgian Dream for securing a fourth term in office in the contested election, including Hungary's prime minister, Viktor Orban.
Orban was due to arrive in Tbilisi on Monday on a two-day visit that has annoyed several of his European partners because of the message it sends the Georgian government.
Germany's foreign ministry spokesman said the Hungarian leader could travel where he wanted, although it was clear he was not speaking on behalf of the EU.
Hungary currently holds the presidency of the EU, but foreign policy chief Josep Borrell stressed that it had "no authority in foreign policy".
"Whatever Mr Orban says in his visit to Georgia, he does not represent the European Union," Borrell told Spanish radio.

Why are people who look at comic books from a “critical real-world lens” so obsessed with identifying the one person who is “100% right”. That doesn’t even exist in the real world.
Lost Days wasn’t made to protest global issues. It is a comic book exploring fictional character Jason’s mental journey after being resurrected and regaining consciousness against his will and/or power. Now how dare this character, in his own story where he has his own personal objective, not go out of his way to make sure each individual child from the collective hundreds he saved from traffickers and the likes gets adopted into nice homes. Obviously we have to disregard any good he did or that he cares at all because all he did was kill the fucker at the top who was responsible. Winick also never fleshed out all 42 of the trafficked children into nuanced characters with their own thoughts and feelings which was apparently neglectful lol.
In regards to utrh, Idk what this person read but there were more drug dealers Jason didn’t kill than those he did. Not once did he ever say he wanted to eliminate the flow of drugs in the community. He took over the trade. Not to mention he explicitly stated control vs elimination is where his goals differed from Bruce’s pipe dream hence why he’s successful and Bruce is still failing. Obviously if you completely misunderstand the character’s motivations you’ll find issues that don’t exist.
People just don’t want stories to be about what they are about, huh.

Why is that some country's EAS alarms are like "sorry to bother you, but you're about to die and should evacuate. Again, sorry for the interruption. Please have a good day" and then other EAS alarms are like "You are already dead. There is no sleep when the rapture is on its way. Tell your family you love them and pray that any God let's you into heaven"

when people complain about the un and international law being useless... look
I don't think (many) people fundamentally understand what the UN is, what international law is, and what they can and cannot do
the UN and international law in general are... quite imperfect and bureaucratic systems which are heavily politicised but it's like. a better world to be in where they do exist than one where there is not. I like the Universal Declaration of Human Rights! I love the self-determination article in the subsequent human rights treaties and how decolonising countries in the 1940s-1970s played a crucial role in shaping the current system.
international law gives us benchmarks, lines in the sand to point out and articulate why someone something did was illegal without running into the issue of ex post facto law, which was an issue in the nuremberg trials, but I digress.
the UN is not a governing body. it has no independent political power.
international law, at the end of the day, is based on the consent of states. whether you like it or not, international law is a horizontal system.
most people are much more familiar with domestic law which is vertical and has clear enforcement mechanisms. international law, particularly international human rights law, has fucking shit enforcement mechanisms. it's all consent based, it's heavily politicised and it's woefully underfunded. sanctions are terrible. humanitarian interventions often go terribly wrong.
but they give structure, and guidelines, and things for civil society to point at and say: you have fucked up. you have breached xyz treaty article, as seen in abc treaty body decision or general comment.
I guess I'm real tired of people acting like international law and the UN are useless or a net negative. like. there are a lot of issues. but it's more complex than 'good' versus 'bad'.
the power imbalance between countries and the veto power of the security un council in particular are stupid but products of historical reality and compromise. international law is built on compromise.
anyway keep on holding the west accountable for the treaties they helped create and signed. unfortunately the united states is weak and has not ratified as many treaties as it should have but what state has ratified which treaty is publicly available information and so are the treaties.

i just learnt that the continents that you learn in school depend on the country, and that some countries teach in schools that there are 7 continents and other teach that there are 6, but there are also models that only count 5 or even 4 continents

I really do have a special talent of apparently being very approachable. When I was walking through the ward, I saw a person waving and smiling at me behind the glass door. I only saw him once before, briefly. He asked me if I wanna go outside to smoke and have a chat. I had just came back from smoking and had ergotherapy in like 2 minutes but if someone offers me to chat, who am I to turn it down? So we went downstairs and now we're friends and I'll bring him nail polish tomorrow 😅
